Hi families,

Thank you all for pitching in last night. I know we had a family or two on vacation and it was really evident to me that we are about 8 families leaner this year than we were last. Huge shout out to our new families for jumping in, volunteering and stepping up! Everyone's help is greatly appreciated & I know our kids had a great meet because of your support. 

Herndon Olympics is coming up quickly. Our team has a volunteer obligation for the event. If your child is a seasoned swimmer and you feel confident that your child will be swimming, I ask that you sign up now (trust me, you want control over your time slot & role). For our new families, this is not a beginner's event and coach could advise you if your swimmer would likely be invited. The event is hosted at Kingston Chase and is a daytime event. If I'm not mistaken we swim our two two swimmers for each event, but each child can only swim two events. Details about the event are at the bottom of this email.

Introduction

There will be swimmers from 9 teams participating....these are all swim teams that have been involved in the Herndon Olympics for more than 25 years. The teams are...Kingston Chase, Kingstream, Four Seasons, Hunters Creek, Herndon Community Center, Herndon Rec, Hiddenbrook, Fox Mill, and Reflections.

This meet will be the top swimmers in each age group and each event from each of the teams. It is a great day of competition and fun! There will be some awesome concessions available including food from California Tortilla. and Pizza as well as grilled burgers and hot dogs, smoothies and snow cones!

The meet is hosted by Kingston Chase and the Town of Herndon Parks and Rec in a combined effort!
