    2017 Swim Season - Help Needed!

    Hello Kahunas!

    It is hard to believe it, but planning has started for this summer's swim season.  We are thankful that Ian will be back as our head coach!  

     

    There are a few needs for the team.  Please consider volunteering for one of these areas - we have tried to break up the jobs so that each family can bear just a small portion of the load.  We are a small team and depend on you to help us function!

     

    Here are the volunteer opportunities:

    - Secretary:  Take notes at our swim team meetings.  Help with various small tasks for the team.  Please note:  we have at most 4-5 meetings per year so this does not take much time.

    - Fundraising:  Would you be willing to organize one restaurant night or set up another fundraiser for the team (such as a raffle or something like the escrip (gift card fundraiser) program)?  We could have several people doing one fundraiser each.

    - Tent Volunteer:  Does someone have a vehicle big enough to transport our team's tent to and from our away meets (approximately 5 meets, including the All League Meet)?

    - Water Volunteer:  Is someone willing to bring the water jugs filled with water to each of our meets?  We typically have 8-9 meets per season.

    - Sound Machine: Is someone willing to bring the sound machine to meets and then take it home to charge it for the next meet?  

     

    For the tent, sound machine and water jugs, if you are going to be gone for some of the meets, we can arrange back-ups.  We just need someone to be the person in charge.

     

    Thank you!  For planning purposes, the first practice of the year will be on Wednesday, May 31.  Tuesday, May 30, will be the new parent meeting and swimmer evaluation night.  More details will follow as the start of the season gets closer!
